Top 10- Why I Don’t Like Religion

#10 – Because religion binds me with it’s traditions, rituals, and formalities, when all I really want is just to get free in God and live an inspired life.

#9 – Because religion is arrogant, pretending to have “all the answers”, accusing culture of just not asking the right questions.

#8 – Because religion keeps God in a tiny box filled with harshness and rules. All I’d like is to have my childlike imagination back and be led by the Holy Spirit.

#7 – Because religion is westernized in thinking, driven by exclusivity and self approval, capitalism rules baby! Just keep covering up the bad stuff, and look for insecure people who will buy anything.

#6 – Because religion is “fear based” not “faith based” and that scares the hell out of me!!

#5 – Because religion follows the “cookie-cutter” philosophy! Everyone has to look the same, dress the same, talk the same, think the same, and even interpret scripture the same. The problem is, we all aren’t the same!

#4 – Because religion has become showtime, big business in corporate America, and local churches are almost always controlled by an out-of-state or even out-of country authority that insists on telling them how to operate!

#3 – Because religion often gives dumb answers to cultures smart questions, making the rest of us look ignorant with not all the lights on!

#2 – Because the top religious leaders 2000 years ago stood 5 feet from the Messiah, and weren’t spiritual enough to know it was Him! But instead called Him a demon-possessed, lunatic…

#1 – Because religion has franchised the purity of the faith into 33,000 different denominations, and then asks “Why do people not want to go to church anymore?” DUHHHH “religion, you’re the reason! You’ve lost you’re voice! No one’s listening!”

Bible verse of the day
Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
